The following contains all information required for your next function or event at Daveys Bar and Restaurant.
Daveys Function Room provides the setting for a range of events from Birthday and Engagement parties, Anniversaries, Christenings, Business Lunches and Corporate Events; we can cater for them all.
With a variety of areas available including the Function Room, The Deck or a private section of the restaurant, Daveys is the perfect venue for your function.
Our flexible approach to catering will ensure that your guests will receive the very best in service and quality.

Main Function Room
This is our main private Function Room. This room has its own separate entrance and foyer, with no access to the room via the main hotel. This room is perfect for most events. The room includes a plasma TV screen, DVD and Video player and a microphone.
Daveys Deck
The Daveys Deck is located adjacent to the restaurant. It is only available in the warmer months of the year. Access to the deck is via the restaurant. There is a private bar on the deck. The Deck is perfect for more formal events and can be used for both sit down or cocktail events. Please see the functions co coordinator for further details regarding this section as it varies from normal terms and conditions.
Bay View Section
This is an area in our restaurant that is sectioned off and more private. Featuring large windows that overlook the creek and bay, this section is available for sit down functions only.
General Information
• As hotel policy, birthday celebrations under 21 years are not catered for by the venue.
• Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian and must be out of the venue by 11pm due to liquor licensing legislation. If any child under 18 is found to be consuming alcohol, they will be asked to leave immediately.
• Functions are hired for a 5 hour duration, with the latest starting time for a function being 8:00pm.
• Extra function time is available for $80 per half hour.
• The bar will close 15 minutes prior to the conclusion of your function.
• No smoking is permitted in the venue.
• No alcohol is to be brought into the hotel. (Intoxication is not acceptable).
• Entering and exiting the main Function Room is done through the function entrance. This is located on the left hand side of Daveys Street.
• Every function includes a security guard.
Music
• We are able to offer assistance and recommendations regarding music needs for your function. We have options for a DJ which are priced at $500 for the 5 hours or a Juke Box which is $220 for the night.. Please speak to our functions coordinator if you are interested.
• Alternatively, you are welcome to provide your own entertainment providing it adheres to hotel policy.
Decorations
• We can organise your Balloons for you, which come in a variety of different colours and are priced at $85 for 50 balloons, $110 for 75 balloons and $150 for 100 balloons. These will come already inflated for you on the day of your function.
• You are also welcome to decorate the room how you wish with extra decorations, eg. Balloons, streamers, banners, ect.
Set Up of Room
• A floor plan of the Function will be arranged with you prior to your booking date. We have a range of furniture you can choose from. Table cloths will be placed on all tables with optional tea light candles on each of them. Please liaise with the functions co-ordinator.
Terms and Conditions
CONDITIONS TO BOOKING A FUNCTION:
• We hold all tentative bookings for a maximum of 7 days.
• We require a deposit (minimum $250) to be paid within this time to secure your booking.
• Food requirements must be paid and finalised 7 days prior to function.
• Minimum Spend comprises of the total cost of all food and beverages.
CANCELLATION OF A FUNCTION:
• 6 (4) weeks or more prior to function: FULL REFUND
• Within 3-6 weeks prior to function: 50% REFUND
• Within 2-3 weeks prior to function: 25% REFUND
• Within 1 week or less prior to function: NO REFUND
ADHERING TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL ENSURE YOU RECIEVE YOUR BOND BACK:
• No damage to the hotel or property or monies lost to venue as result of function activity
• No physically aggressive behaviour or abusive language at any time
• No guests are permitted behind the bar under any circumstances
• Any guest asked to leave the function must do so in an orderly fashion
NIGHTCLUB ENTRANCE:
All guests attending functions will be given priority entrance via our VIP line. Anyone wishing to enter the nightclub will still be subject to our normal conditions of entry such as dress code, intoxication and identification. For further details please talk to our functions coordinator.
IF ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE AHERED TO THE BOND OF $250.00 WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR COLLECTION THE FOLLOWING DAY AFTER YOUR FUNCTION.
IF ANY OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IS NOT MET, MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SHUT DOWN THE FUNCTION AT ANY TIME AND THE BOND OF $250.00 WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
It is the responsibility of the person booking the function that all of these above requirements are met.

All food is priced per head. There are a range of menus to choose from at a range of prices per head to suit your particular function.
Beverage
Drinks can be paid for by individual guests or charged to a tab on a consumption basis at regular bar prices.
